A Prom To Remember

Every now and then, we get a night that reminds us why community matters.
On May 31, my business partners and I had the absolute joy of attending Prom Night 2025 hosted by the Center for Nonprofit Advancement—and let me tell you, a time was had.

Set in the beautifully restored National Union Building in downtown DC, the theme was Roaring 20s meets nonprofit magic. Think sequins, feathers, bow ties, fringe, and laughter flowing freely.
This wasn’t just an event—it was a celebration of the people behind the purpose. Nonprofit professionals from across the Washington, DC region came together to connect, unwind, and simply be. No grant deadlines. No meetings. Just good energy, great music (shoutout to DJ Gemini on the 1s and 2s), and a packed dance floor that never let up.

It was refreshing to see so many leaders letting loose—because joy is just as much a part of the work as the mission. We build stronger communities not just through strategy, but through relationships, rest, and moments like these.
To the Center for Nonprofit Advancement—thank you for creating space for us to shine and celebrate.
